Moonshadow

A dramatic A-frame of timber and tall glass, set high on the ridge beneath the moonlight.

The Dwelling

A dramatic black A-frame built around cathedral glass and the Blue Ridge.

Moonshadow rises from the ridge with a steep dark gable and a wall of angled glass. The architecture gives the dwelling its strong silhouette while keeping the mountains and changing sky at the center of the room.

Inside, dark walls, framed art, low seating, and the soaring window create a layered, intimate setting. The queen bed and sleeper sofa make room for four, with a kitchenette and conventional bathroom close at hand.

Choose Moonshadow for a quiet evening, a dramatic view, and a dwelling that feels distinct without pretending to be anything it is not.

The Story

All shadow and moonlight, by design

Most cabins chase the light; Moonshadow leans the other way. The black timber and inky interior aren't an accident — they're the whole idea. Painted out in shadow, the architecture recedes and the stunning view takes over: by day the bright Blue Ridge fills that cathedral window, and by night the glass fills with stars while the walls melt into the dark.

It's a dwelling built for the evening hours — the golden hush before sunset, the fire of the sky going violet, the slow arrival of the moon over the Land of the Sky. Pour something, turn the lamps low, and let the mountain put on its show.
